Tampa's Gasparilla Pirate Celebration

Tampa's Gasparilla Celebrations take place in January every year and I've been bursting with design ideas that will go along with it... you can see and learn more about this celebration of Tampa's history by visiting www.gasparillapiratefest.com.
Here are a couple of items that I have come up with (a Toddler Shirt and a Black Maternity Shirt). I always do a test stitch before putting any of my embroidery designs onto new shirts and listing on my online shop at www.HaleyBugDesigns.Etsy.com. I think these shirts came out super cute! I always feel like Haley and I are the cobbler who never has new shoes, because I always use old t-shirts to run test designs on. I like the pirate design on the black toddler shirt, however it is difficult to find plain black toddler t-shirts, so I will more than likely offer these shirts in white and MAYBE some other colors, depending on what I already have in my inventory.

Baby Shower Set

This is a set that I made for a baby shower. It includes the Bib and Burp Cloth along with a matching personalized (with the baby's date of birth) pillow door hanger.

New Bag / Tote

Since I'm not really sure what I am going to use this blog space for, I was thinking that I would place items that I make, as I make them out here. Kind of like a journel of items that I work on and hopefully over time you can see the variety of items and ideas I come up with.

I made this bag as a thank you gift for Sandra, who is a little girl in Haley's pre-school class. Her dad has purchased a block of tickets for the Ringling Bros Circus this weekend and has invited all of Haley's classmates to join him and Sandra. I thought it was so nice of him and we wanted to show our appreciation by giving Sandra this gift / Tote Bag.

I also completed a bib and burp cloth set that I sold on Etsy. You can see this item at my etsy shop: http://www.HaleyBugDesigns.etsy.com, under sold items. I didn't take a photo of the completed item, but going forward I will, so I can post it out here.

First Post

So many people have blogs, so I have decided to join in on this new addiction that so many seem to have. I'm not sure yet exactly what I will use my blog for, but we'll see what it evolves into.
